I'm a fine artist that creates work that lives within the contradictions that shape Black identity; where beauty and resistance coexist. By reimagining portraiture through color and performance, I use my work to explore what it means to be seen, to survive, and to feel within a body that’s constantly defined by others. I’m not interested in documentaries, I build controlled environments where my subjects reclaim authorship, where their expressions, gestures, and postures become language. My photography reveals the unseen conversations happening beneath the skin.
Or in other words,
I am passionate about creating impactful and empowering images of black people and our culture. An image is worth a 1000 words, and I have a lot to say.
