Mark Silvester Photography

Almost 28 years' experience in commercial, fashion, glamour and art nude photography, including owning a highly successful studio. Photography is both my profession and my hobby. I’m passionate about lighting, whether a product or a model.

I work with advertising agencies and directly with many companies on their advertising campaigns. I have undertaken a wide range of projects including clients campaigns for Erotica show.

When I had my studio, I ran over 90 tuitions / lighting workshops teaching studio lighting and location lighting sharing my passion for lighting. I have had over 300 photographers of all levels attend my tuitions which covered everything from portrait, fashion, still life, glamour and art nude.
I have had excellent feedback on the tuitions and the tuition I ran through Groupon had 100% positive feedback.

In addition I have taught Studio Photography to Schools for A level students and I have undertaken talks on Studio lighting and editing.

I am published in various magazines and online publications in addition to my commercial and advertising work.

Ansel Adams said "You don’t take a photograph, you make it." I totally agree with this. I want to make images that are well lit that I want to spend the time to edit not 100's of repetitive images of no value. I like my images to be punchy, having good contrast using light and shadow to create interest and sculpt the subject. I hope that that is shown here.

All work is edit on a fully calibrated monitor using Lightroom and Photoshop CC, images are colour profiled and all lens are calibrated.

Having myself chaperoned models and friends on shoots I understand why models may wish for a chaperone, I am happy for any model to bring a chaperone to any shoot, just let me know in advance.
