Simple Photographer that is undertaking the IOP Advanced Professional Photographers Course, my experience is now 62 years with a camera in my hand, I started when I was young and had the equivalent of a box Brownie. I love portraiture, land/sea scape, nature, and wildlife. Specialising in the Wildlife/Nature side of the Photographic Genre.

I am a photographer who loves Nature, Landscapes, and Architecture. My main quest is nature that incorporates Macro and close up imagery, in the Autumn period I looking for the fungal trail incorporating the wayside examples from both woodland and country footways. Portraiture, fashion and people images are still part of my program, who would not love the chance to use their imagination or the imagination of that model to create images that both look and feel like a master production. This would be either in a studio or open-air location of their choice producing a set of images they want and are happy to keep and cherish.

I have since becoming a Pensioner started to increase the photographic knowledge by taking the IOP Diploma, Open University Course, and completed the HNC Course on Photograph Distance Learning course (Started August 2024) so please bear with me. I was looking for models who don’t mind me using them for the HNC Course that could have helped me get a good (Merit/Distinction Pass Mark). For each assignment and assessment I needed that new face to bring the human factor into the image. 

Since taking that course I have learnt to plan, program, and then take that image, see what is around you first, then look again as you will have missed that small item on the first viewing. Using all your senses to hear, and to potentially feel the air for that hint of the difference. This is what I now try to produce in the images I shoot and to have viewer see and enjoy that captured moment in time, and bring that same feeling to them as it did to myself.

The human genre is both exhilarating and difficult for me, I love the challenge of portraiture, the diffraction and changing styles of fashion, I love the ability to show the form of that beautiful person to the best of both their and my ability, Then take that beauty and bring out the exhilaration of that different angle, or view, to show an even better view stance of that person. In the main I want to promote the person and show the real personality and not just a simple image which in reality is just like a reflection in a mirror. I want to take that person and bring out their inner most special attributes.
