Basford Photography and Filming Location Pro

Basford Hurst Cottage was originally erected in 1889 and housed the garages, stables, and electricity generator for the main Basford Hurst House. It also provided living accommodation for the groom and chauffeur.

Nowadays it is utilised as a living residence, but, the owners felt it was wasted if no one ever got to see just how spectacular it was, not only on the outside but namely the inside!

The house itself is split into two parts, the old part built in 1889 and the new extension put on in 1996. Both have a wealth of shooting opportunities. 

Closest Train Links: Stoke-on-trent (7.7miles) Congleton (9 miles), Macclesfield (14miles) 

Basford Photography & Filming location is owned and managed by model & photographer Miss C   / Leanne Michelle Photography along with the help of her wonderful husband Simon.

**  Please Note: Commencing the 14th July 2025, the derelict building will be undergoing further extensive works to create new shooting areas. This work will mainly be taking place during the week and it may be that some / all of this area is not available on your shoot during this time which is reflected in our current prices. This work does not affect the main building or other shoot spaces. **

How much is Basford to hire?

Basford Hurst Cottage is extremely competitively priced. As a base guide we charge the following for sole use of the property and all equipment for one photographer and one model.

One Hour = £30 (A minimum of a 2 hour booking is required)

Four Hours (Half Day) = £100

Eight Hours (Full Day) = £180

Additional Photographers are charged at £30 per person, and additional models are £15 per person regardless of the duration hired.

We charge a small additional £10 supplement for bath / shower shoots due to hot water usage and additional cleaning requirements.

*During the winter months and exceptionally busy periods there may be small overlaps between bookings to accommodate everyone during daylight hours. The location is plenty big enough to allow everyone privacy and the ability to shoot undisturbed*

We require a 50% deposit for all bookings at Basford Hurst Cottage. Deposits are non-refundable if less than one week's notice is given for cancellation of a booking. For no shows and cancellations less than 72 hours we require the entire studio hire amount to be paid in full. By confirming a booking via Purpleport or another form of communication you hereby are liable to abide by these terms. 

Pricing for studio days, workshops and events may be offered at a discounted rate and can be discussed on an individual basis.

Our main focus is to have a space for everyone to enjoy so please do message us to discuss your ideas.

P.S .... All prices are inclusive of tea, biscuits and any other snacks that are required! (Just give us a little notice...!!)
