Recently returned from a very enjoyable photography trip with model photography holidays. The hosts Gavin & Michelle had found a superb luxury private villa creating a great backdrop for our first days shooting. The photographers and models all worked together really nicely and there was a lovely vibe throughout the holiday. Other shoot themes were derelict building/ urbex, beach, sunrise, sunset and the last day had some fun duo and group shoot themes. A Captain's performance by MPH. Recommend!

I have now been on 4 holidays with Model Photography Holidays and have truly enjoyed every one of them. This year’s villa was stunning and it was great to work with stunning models and along side some great photographers. Everyone this year got on so well and I truly believe we all left as great friends. I hope to be able to attend their holiday again next year and would recommend them to anyone looking to combine their holiday and their hobby of photography

Had an awesome time shooting for model photography holidays in Portugal for their September 2025 Portugal trip :) had so much fun on this shoot and have came away with so many stunning images :) this was my third time shooting for model photography holidays in Portugal and great to do a trip again with them after attending their 2019 and 2022 Portugal workshops was very flattered to be asked to model for them again in 2025 :) model photography holidays trips are so well organised very professional and a lot of fun :) the hosts Michelle and Gavin are luvly very professional talented and helpful and organised an amazing trip ,thay hired a stunning luxury villa where we all stayed and was perfect for Shoots. Thay planned an awesome varied itinerary we shot in the luxury Villa on the beautiful nearby beaches and also at a derelict factory location such an awesome mix of Shoot styles and locations! All the photographers and models were very professional and a lovely bunch of people we all got on so well and had so much fun :) I highly recommend model photography holidays to all models and photographers you will have a lot of fun and get so many amazing images and also a really fun holiday we had luvly meals as a group and downtime to do what u want too . Very highly recommended and really looking forward to shooting for them again :)

This was my first time modelling with MPH on their Portugal workshop in September and I really enjoyed the experience. Everything was well organised and any questions I had prior to the trip were answered promptly.

The schedule was really well thought out, with great locations and a smooth flow to each day. They are professional, creative and made me feel totally at ease during my time on the trip.

Highly recommend as a model on this trip but also to any photographer who is curious to try a workshop abroad as your walk away with a lot of memories aswell as good images and receive any guidance or help along the way too.

This was my third trip with model photography holidays and yet again the choice of models and the selection of locations were more than you could wish for. Gavin and Michelle are always on hand to provide help and advice. I find that for me model photography holidays provide the perfect balance of chill time, holiday, photography and learning.Thanks again guys and hope to join you again soon

I booked a 1-2-1 training session with Gavin and Michelle. The pre-training communications with both were very good and all my questions were answered. On arrival I was met by both Gavin and Michelle and we had a discussion about the training, different parts of the cottage for the shot and details of the training and what it will contain. Gavin was available to provide guidance, answer any questions and provide tips as we started shotting. Michelle patiently stayed in front of the camera holding different poses throughout the shot while I was taking photos and discussing ideas with Gavin. There was a short break to rest and let everything sink in and we started the training again. The day finished with many photos and new skills gained. Post training they both emailed me to check I was satisfied with the session and further training material (prepared by Gavin) was provided.

Had the opportunity to work with Gavin and Michelle on a training / model shoot. Both were amazing and I learnt so much in the time I was there. Made me feel so comfortable and was always helping and advising on each shot.

My first photographic adventure in Lanzarote with ‘Model Photography Holidays’, run by Gavin and Michelle.
On a first trip you are not quite sure how things will go, what to expect. With three models, a number of varied locations to shoot at, a lovely villa and chauffer driven around to the each shoot. Was always an attractive set up.

I can confidently say the whole event from start to finish went amazingly smoothly. Was well planned and executed.
Gavin puts the Photographers and Models at the forefront of the whole event. From the Villa, to the gorgeous models, the dramatic locations the focus is on making things run smoothly. The whole event was really professionally delivered, with clear communications and a real joy to be a part of.

All locations for each shoot had been thoroughly checked out, researched for access, providing a wealth of photographic opportunities to create. With plenty of time given for the photographers to shoot plenty of images, working with each model from fashion to art nude.
Each shoot gave me so much opportunity to be more adventurous and creative.

As such it was clear that Gavin and Michelle very much want everyone to not only get super images but also enjoy the whole event from the down time at the Villa to the evening meals together.

Everyone got on so well, the days flew by, it was fun, enjoyable, everyone supportive. With Gavin on hand to assist, advise, and help.
I can confidently say I came away with a wealth of images I am very happy with, made new friends, worked with talented models and learnt new things. I am very pleased I booked this trip with MPH

So if you have just started out in Photography or this is your first Photographic holiday trip, your in for a treat with MPH and enjoy the creative ride, your in safe hands.

Gavin is always on hand to help you improve and show you where you are going wrong and I truly believe that without Gavin's help I would not have got some of the shots that I am so happy with. I can see that the shots from my second trip are much better than the first and a lot of that is down to Gavin's help an down to the amount of research Michelle puts in to get the best locations. First trip to Portugal with model photography holidays and was great fun and I learned a lot. we stayed in a nice private villa with pool in the Algarve and got loads of stunning shots at the villa and also out on nearby locations beach etc. The model photography holidays team are very well organised and productive and you get lots of great images, we shot a wide variety of looks and locations. I have to thank Gavin for all his help and encouragement ,Gavin is a very talented professional photographer and really helped me realise which areas I need to improve and he gave me a lot of help and encouragement throughout the holiday along with Geraint who was one of the other photographers on this trip.

I attended one of their test shoots and really enjoyed working with them. They were really organised and communicated really well! Shots turned out amazing! Would love to work with them both more in the future

Second trip to Portugal for model photography holidays and was just as fun as the first :) we stayed in a lush private villa with pool in the algarve and got loads stunning shots at the villa and also out on nearby locations beach etc. model photography holidays team is so nice we all get on really well and have a laugh and lots fun :) but is also very well organised and productive and you get lots beautiful images, we shot wide variety of looks and locations. You also get time to chill and also had nice meals and nites out. I have shot with Gavin and model photography holidays on many different shoots and looking forward to future trips, highly recommend going on the trips and also shooting with Gavin talented professional photographer I’m always very happy with the images :)

An amazing 5 days spent with the models and photographers on MPH working trip to the Algarve.
They sourced fantastic shooting locations and because we all worked together so well our photos all had that certain buzz. I'd thoroughly recommend it!

I was really lucky to model for model photography holidays first trip to Portugal Algarve last October. Had so much fun and we got loads of stunning images in lots different styles and at beautiful locations beaches pool villa etc. Images from this trip have also been submitted and approved for publication very soon :) I have been on quite a lot of shoots abroad and model photography holidays was brilliant :) very well organised excellent photographers villa and location and the other models were luvly. Well organised professional and productive modeling trip but also realy nice relaxed and friendly feel to the trip so as well as work it actually felt like a holiday :) I’m so happy to be asked to model again for there next trip and can’t wait :) I highly recommend coming on a model photography holidays trip and hope to see u there :)
