I have had many photo sessions with friends over recent years, and as the equipment I purchased became to a more professional standard, so my enthusiasm grew for photographing others, and began advertising on one or two sites. This led to me purchasing lighting rigs and background screens. The project using modelfolio is to find new models who are interested in having free photo sessions so we can both build up portfolios with the minimum of costs. Working this way it allows time for both photographer and model to study the results and retake if necessary to improve the results. My initial interest is portraiture, and my friends have sat patiently while I took loads of pictures under a variety of lighting conditions here in my house. I do realise that should any models contact me, and arrange a session, that the photos they wish to take away will determine how the session develops, so I quite prepared to expect some sessions will involve nudity, erotica, fashion and any of the other boxes I have ticked.
About me, I am 74 years old and live alone and have a make shift area in my house for taking pictures. I still work full time so sessions would be evenings and weekends until such time as I do eventually retire. I have been using my camera since I purchase a Nikon back in 1985, but now in the digital age I rarely use film, though it is a medium I would like to return to.
