I am a professional photographer born in South Africa and currently based in the United Kingdom, working across portraiture, commercial commissions, and live events. My photographic journey has been shaped as much by place and movement as by technique — growing up in South Africa instilled an early awareness of contrast, texture, and human presence, while my years in the UK have refined a quieter, more contemplative approach to image-making. I am available to travel internationally for the right projects and collaborations, particularly those that value intention, depth, and creative trust over speed or surface-level aesthetics.
My core photographic interest lies in portraiture, with a strong emphasis on black-and-white work. I am drawn to the expressive potential of the human face and body — the subtle language of posture, breath, gaze, and stillness. I am less interested in perfection than in presence. My portraits often explore themes of identity, vulnerability, strength, and interior life, influenced by expressionism, classical studio portraiture, and fine-art traditions. Alongside still photography, I have a growing interest in film and cinematic storytelling, particularly where movement, silence, and atmosphere contribute as much as narrative itself.
Beyond photography, my background in yoga, philosophy, and embodied practice deeply informs the way I work with people in front of the camera. I value collaboration, consent, and clear communication, and I aim to create a calm, respectful environment where subjects feel seen rather than performed upon. My work often sits at the intersection of art and documentation — observing the human condition without judgement, spectacle, or artifice. I am especially interested in collaborating with models and creatives who are curious about expression, character, and meaning, whether for personal projects, fine-art work, or concept-driven shoots that prioritise authenticity over trend.
